When designing this new fertility clinic for Dr. Kaufmann, TMA faced an interesting architectural challenge: housing bulky, high-tech laboratory equipment that requires frequent servicing without disrupting clinical operations.
Our solution featured an elegant, arched roofline that brings organic warmth to the building’s exterior while creating the vertical space needed for a hidden internal service mezzanine. Accessible via a private rear staircase, this secondary level allows specialized technicians to perform mandatory maintenance on heavy lab equipment without ever breaching sterile laboratory barriers or crossing paths with patients.
